Hello,

I am Ernest Cordova, the owner of A-1 Pecans Tree Farm in Los Lunas, New Mexico.

I was raised on our farm in Los Lunas, New Mexico about 27 miles south of Albuquerque in the Rio Grande valley.

One of my earliest memories is riding bare back on my father’s work horse as it pulled a plow. My father guided the horse and plow skillfully with one hand while he planted with the other. We had an orchard of about 50 trees which we would harvest along with a vegetable garden and then go and sell the harvested fruit and vegetables in Albuquerque.

I have a great appreciation for trees and all they give us in their over 100 year lifespan: their beauty, the shade, and the fruit of the trees. I love farming and working on the field.
